To The Hurt and Brokenhearted...

Ever had one of those moments where you have found your self asking "Why me God?" Sometimes we go through some situations, and due to the amount of hurt or fear it causes us, we in turn question God. In doing that, you are questioning God's authority. God has his reasons for allowing you to go through certain situations. All trials come only to make you stronger, so instead of questioning God's authority, you ask Him to take you through it. God doesn't cause you to experience hurt unless He wants to change you. Change comes through brokenness and submission. People are of the idea that God chooses the people who are "holy" or perfect. That is not so. He chooses those who are broken, and have messed up a lot during their lifetime. Examples can be pulled from the Bible: David caused Bathsheba to cheat on Uriah; Moses became drunk at one point; Abraham told a lie that his wife was his sister and almost caused a king to fornicate, and his wife to commit adultery. Though all these things happened, these men were some of the most powerful agents of God in the bible. In that same way, God want to take the hurt and broken and transform them into vessels for Christ, fit for working in the kingdom. So when you go through these tough and challenging situations, just remember that God is taking you on a journey of change, and that they are only there to strengthen you.
